Design and business go hand in hand. It is a strength that our students have mastered to transform wild, experimental ideas into a commercial product without losing the design features and expressions. We aim to strengthen the individual student's identity and self-understanding as an innovative designer as well as teach them how to achieve a very high technical product development.
VIA Design is known to have bright students who understand the importance of combining the creative with the commercial aspect. We therefore have many alumni employed in important positions in the industry today - in Denmark and abroad.
VIA Design motivates students to develop their own design identity. Apart from our own staff of skilled teachers, we join forces with several of the industry's international elite in order to find the 16 best students to showcase their collections on our show.
Being Scandinavia's largest school of design and business in fashion and lifestyle, VIA Design supplies companies with competent staff for positions in all functions: design, product development, construction, purchasing, production, communications, marketing, and retail. VIA Design provides vocational courses, higher and further education within clothing, technology, furniture and furnishing. By linking the commercial aspect with a creative idea, and by working with all the routines from idea to design and retailing of the finished product, VIA Design's students achieve a good grasp of all functions in a company. VIA Design is part of VIA University College - the largest university college in Denmark.
