The way of a photographer
Normally, a photographer takes pictures and sells them to the client. But if your name is Christoph Marti, it means that as a photographer you have many more things to offer. The Swiss photographer works internationally in photography, runs two magazines (dasKomma and BeautyMute Paris), publishes a fashion collection every 2nd year and runs a multimedia agency in Switzerland.
How do you get such a span of work?
For me it was always a search for the "right" thing. But this search has no end until today. I've always come across new passions - yet I can't deliver half a piece of work.
Half works? How can you do everything right when you realize so many things?
That's a good question. I certainly don't do everything right - you learn from every project. There are projects that work better and those that I can still expand.
What do you focus on?
Certainly on the photography: this is my trademark - nevertheless, the financial must not be missing. Therefore, my agency in Switzerland is my most important support to be able to finance my creative work.
What can we expect from you in the future?
My third book is coming in December, my new fashion collection in the new year, as well as more international projects. I am looking forward to it.
